The Miami Dolphins were mildly successful through the 2012 campaign. They started a rookie quarterback, much to the chagrin of fans but by the end of the season, he was showing that he was a solid choice. Even though the season ended with a 7 – 9 record, the end was better than the beginning and gave hope that a turn was made and a winning season can be found in the near future. Changes in the offense could strengthen the drives and lead to a successful Dolphin year. Check the Miami Dolphins schedule and get ready for the action.

Ryan Tannehill will return as the starting quarterback, after having a rocky start last year. He was a typical rookie starter with some rough games early in the season, but by the end he had gotten experience and was able to connect with his receivers on a regular basis. He ended with 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on the year. Coaches are satisfied with their decision to start him and give him experience to become a team leader for the Miami Dolphins.
To bolster the offense, the Dolphins signed receivers Brandon Gibson and Mike Wallace. They also added guard Lance Louis and linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Philip Wheeler. Dustin Keller signed with the Dolphins and could prove to be a great receiver as long as he can stay healthy and not aggravate an injury received late last season.
A big name loss for the Dolphins was the departure of Reggie Bush who went to Detroit. Receivers Marlon Moore and Davone Best also left, making Tannehill have to look for new targets this year.
Other players leaving the Miami dolphins NFL football team include corner Sean Smith, safety Jonathan Amaya and linebackers Kevin Burnett and Karlos Dansby.
The Dolphins had a fairly decent draft in 2013 and came away with solid choices for positions they were in need of filling. In the first round, they chose Dion Jordan, a defensive end out of Oregon which was a huge surprise because others were guessing they would not pick who they did. In the second round, they picked a corner from Bose State with Jamar Taylor. For the third round, they had two picks and went with Dallas Thomas, a guard from Tennessee and Will Davis, a corner from Utah State.
Joe Philbin returns to the Dolphins as the Head Coach. Defensive coordinator is Kevin Coyle. The offensive coordinator is Mike Sherman. Darren Rizzi is the special teams coordinator. Since there is a young pool of talent to draw from, the coaches should be able to build this year in to a more positive season for the Miami Dolphins schedule and break even or even make a run to get in to the playoffs. They might be one year away from a contender spot in the AFC but they do have potential. Buy Miami Dolphins Football tickets now!
